Day 4: November 1st

This morning Gurumaharaj explained the folowing verse from the Srimad Bhagavatam (Canto 1 Chapter 8 Verse 42):

tvayi me ‘nanya-visaya
matir meadhu-pate ‘sakrt
ratim udvahatad addha
gangevaugham udanvat

O Lord of Madhu, as the Ganges forever flows to the sea without hindrance, let my attraction be constantly drawn unto You without being diverted to anyone else.

Gurmaharaj added that Srila Prabhupada says that the less joy in life the less attachment one could have, but this is impossible because this goes against our nature. He says it is better to be attached to Krsna and his devotees.

Later that morning the group headed over to the Madhan Mohan Temple with garbage bags and rakes in hand to leave the green areas surrounding the temple spotless.

At night the devotees visited Nityananda Vat where Sri Krsna spent beautiful pastimes brushing Srimati Radharani’s hair.

In the Nityananda Vat we met with a direct descendant of Nityananda Prabhu, who told us that his descendants have been worshipping the deities for many generations on this site.

And the beautiful tree where Krsna stole the gopis’ dresses.

Today’s assignment for meditation is:

What are the three most important goals in your life?

All the Glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga Radha Vraja Mohan!

Gurumaharaja ki jay!
