I am extremely happy here in Mayapur Dham to be in contact with all of you. Gaura Purnima ki jay!
We spent Gaura Purnima day at Ganges, singing the prema dhama deva stotram. The gift from Srila Prabhupada is the holy Name and the holy books, the holy dhama Ganga, Yamuna and the Vaisnavas. We were busy organizing the WVA event. It was a successful meeting. There came the principal acharya of Ramanuja sampradaya and an important acarya from nimbarka sampradaya, a new vice president of another mission. He also assures more participation in general. It is a slow work, but it goes on little by little as we want. Little by little the entire world will be connected to Lord Caitanya. It is a great challenge but a nice purification.
Here we are still studying our situation in Mayapur. A disciple wants to donate land to Vrinda in a Rudravipa It is a part of Gaura Mandal, not far from Chaitanya Math, but yet difficult to get there. If I accept it, it requires investment there. It is difficult to make mission in a land far away. Anyway, tomorrow I will go to Rudravipa to visit them.
Prabhu Samkasana invited us with 20 sannyasis to visit Sundarvan, the land of the tigers of Bengal. He built like seven temples for the poor people there in the villages. It is in the delta of Ganges. A paradise.
We are going to Vrindavan to continue developing the principal project Inbound India. Do not forget that we need the visits from South America well organized to maintain this program. Because it is a privileged place in Vrindavan and every day they are improving something with the efforts to help Vrindavan. Srila B:B: Tirtha maharaj dedicated a lot of energy here to the WVA and a more dedicated atmosphere is created for the purposes.
Gaura Purnima was a day of many incomparable parties. The temples so full of devotees that it was no place for the mosquitoes. There was also a concert with the devotee Atmarama, famous for his nice bhajans. In India more devotees are missing who are dedicated to the cause of the work of Vrinda India, because I will go with Kalki for Kartik to organize many things.
The samadhi of Srila Puri Maharaj is very nice; opulent, big with a beautiful deity. 4 days of feasting, yajnas and many classes and 24 hours kirtan, were the principal aspects. All acaryas visited, inclusive the acharya of Ramanuja sampradaya. Really, one remembers at each step how great this our acarya was. There have come two new books of Srila Puri Maharaj; The heart of a Vaisnava and Samadhi.
It is important to remember more the efficiency in the translations. There are people who coordinate this, or rather, Panca Tattwa, who organized this, should find another coordinator for books that has to be translated. Send to them the respective books and then translate, correct twice and include on the list of books in the library, which was changed the last time in the year of 200. It would be very good to try to find the person who wants to help to coordinate between the different available translators who are translating which book. Someone who has time for this and is on Internet at least once a day. The Vaisnava nectar has to be maintained flowing. We cannot be delayed.
It is lacking reunions via internet with systems of work. The same problems as from the temples, without sophisticated reunions, without a book of actions. Sevas without a list of productions with grade of priorities… uff! Those from the Vaisnava Academy should reunite; devotees of the web pages getting up to date how to help, once a week; devotees who translate, etc. It is because of laziness that we do not do it more organized. It is like when there are people with a nice idea. Thinking in the difficulties that will appear, they think it is better not to try it. Others, better, they have an idea and really they start. Then come the problems and they despair and close the intent, they throw in the towel. What a pity for them. A useless effort. And there are those who follow the plan of the master, who do not forget the details, who note all that cannot be forgotten, who find one obstacle after the other, and they take it as challenges to grow. It is only those ones who can offer an intermediate or final result to their Guru. Because the effort will always continue to improve the things.
The Internet offers these facilities of reunions of the devotees from different countries. All children in the world use it for prajalpa unions. So you just have to initiate organizing these aspects of the Vrinda service. For instance, we are planning to print the nice future books in India where they have become expert and the printing is cheap. We can increase the presence of nice books in the mission with this project and furthermore we can use the contents of the devotees who make the commerce, to bring books to different countries. It is cheaper than to send books from Colombia to Chile for instance.
I don't know why it became my karma to be the organizer of so many technical aspects. I also prefer to chant and dance on harinam, but on the other hand I like to see efficiency and cooperation between devotees to serve Srila Prabhupada. Seeing the temples of Iskcon here in Mayapur; it is amazing how they organize well a quantity of persons on an industrial level.
Really one can make things better each time, and the personal studies of the devotees should also be strong. Because to be able to give conferences that are very up do date, dynamic and enthusiastic, one has to maintain to study the nectar of the acaryas. Without studying one becomes vapid and the mind more rebellious. Spontaneous service is very, very appreciated. I am incapable to personally give all qualified services in detail to each devotee. I involve only in new projects and look for people who are disposed to get started, but if you study the master plan of Vrinda, you will find many things that you could do. There I have also found a tremendous list of material of the filed preaching that exists, in some corner, forgotten by all. My interview of the Chilean television was rewarded as the best interview of years, but I can guarantee that in Colombia, and what to say about Mexico, they have never heard about it. A simple vcd and it can be shared via the sevas. One has to be a searcher for nectar.
Yesterday I visited a Vaisnava bookstore together with Madhusudan Maharaj ; a bookstore with hundreds of books of value to present the Vaisnava culture. Maharaj said that our temples should all have a library with all those books. Of course, in this it has to be invested more than 4000 USD, because the buying, transport and then bookcases for so many books would be a giant effort.
But it only takes the decision in a temple to make this and then to organize. Maturity to manage capital of Krishna and how to avoid the damaging influence of Lola and Maria. Lola is the thieves and Maria the marijuana smokers who put everything in disorder. Because in a well-ordered place one maintains the order, and this is a joy. 'Order and progress', say the Brazilians.
Well, I can continue with these ideas but I rather have to go to see the president of the WVA, Srila BB Tirtha Maharaj. He will leave tomorrow and now it is just to clear some details.
