Poems by Srila B.A. Paramadvaiti Swami, Kumbha Mela 2013

Who is god? And what is dharma?
What is pap? And what is karma?

The future is in our hands
Here in the Kumbha Mela
And in all the faraway lands.

Sastras and sadhus tell stories of rivers pure
Messages of love and truth just to be sure.

But now our world is in Kali’s grip
Tanneries let their poison drip
Which of their lifes the dolphins strip
And mothers’ heart in pieces rip

To rape a girl by many men
upsets a nation.
What to do?
But the raping of Mother by a nation
can only change by me and you.

Today I beg you from the bottom of my heart
Be a real son who is never lost
To save mother in all her forms
To obtain protection at any cost

Love has a price
The vedas tell
Surrender, beauty
All must be well

You give your heart
And serve the truth
That is real life
The human boon

Sastras and Sadhus
The guru’s guiding hand
Cittete, our inner voice
All take us to the sacred land.

Love all, they are your family
Be it man, animal or tree

But Ganga, bhumi and Gomata are our mothers
Prema data

Vasudaiva Kutambakam
Give to the world your love and truth

Those without love are sad and need
Consciousness as their yoga seed

To plant with hearing and with Ram
Chanting it as their daily Sadhan

One world of peace
For man and beast
I humbly request you for Ahimsa please.
